WITNESS

Time flows as sand shifts.

Trees bud, bloom and shed red leaves.

Yellow stone wears down.

The light changes, turns

yellow, red, black, blue, green, grey.

Shadows fall. Life stills.

If a tree falls in

a forest cleared of life, then

does it make a sound?

If a house remains

with its occupants lost, then

does it stay a home?

We are witnesses

to the unstable nature

of time and of place.

Time flows as sand shifts.

Bear witness to this world, for

even stone wears down.
